Shravan Tal, located within the Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh, India, is a charming pond named for Shravan Kumar, a famous person in Hindu mythology known for his love to his parents.
Legend has it that Shravan Kumar, escorting his visually impaired parents on a pilgrimage, reached the pond to fetch water for them. Unfortunately, King Dasharatha, father of Lord Rama, mistook the water's sound for an animal and accidentally shot an arrow at Shravan, resulting in his untimely demise. Recognizing his error, Dasharatha faced a curse from Shravan's grieving parents, foretelling his own sorrow of losing a son.
