DAY 01

Arrive in Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, meet with a company representative and transfer to the city hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 02

Delhi - Agra

Morning, we will do a half-day city sightseeing tour of Delhi before heading to Agra. In the afternoon, drive to Agra. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 03

Agra - Umaria (By Train)

After morning tea, we will visit the Taj Mahal, where the beauty of the Taj rises as the sun ascends. Dawn is the best time to appreciate the enormous beauty of the Taj Mahal.

The Taj Mahal, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal (the most beautiful among his wives), became a UNESCO World Heritage masterpiece in 1983. It is the finest example of Mughal architecture, combining elements from Persian, Turkish, and Indian architectural styles.

After breakfast, we will visit Agra Fort, built principally as a military establishment by Akbar in 1565.

Later in the afternoon, transfer to the railway station to board sleeper trains for the tiger country, Bandhavgarh. Overnight stay on board.

DAY 04

Umaria - Bandhavgarh National Park

Arrive in Umaria early morning. On arrival at Umaria railway station, meet with the company representative and drive to Bandhavgarh National Park, checking into the jungle resort. In the afternoon, after lunch, we will go on a safari to the national park to encounter its impressive wildlife. Overnight stay in Bandhavgarh.

DAY 05

Bandhavgarh National Park

Awake with a cup of tea; we will visit the park for a safari again (either Magdhi or Tala). Return to the resort for freshening up and relaxation. After lunch, a jeep safari (if visited Magdhi in the morning, then Tala, or vice versa). Overnight stay in Bandhavgarh.

DAY 06

Bandhavgarh - Kanha National Park

Today, we will drive to Kipling's country, Kanha National Park. En-route, visit the Fossil Park of Ghuguwa. Fossils belonging to 31 genera of 18 plant families have been identified, representing life as it occurred in this area some 65 million years ago.

Further, continue driving to Kanha. On arrival, check into the wildlife resort. After lunch, we will explore the nearby area on foot. Overnight stay in Kanha.

Kanha's sal and bamboo forests, rolling grasslands, and meandering streams stretch over 940 sq km in dramatic natural splendor. It is home to an amazing variety of mammals, including the tiger, leopard, and bison. It is also the only habitat of the rare hard-ground Stag. More than 200 species of birds make Kanha a birdwatcher's Paradise.
